The excitement is mounting...the sendoff service is tonight...

Our congregation B'nai Torah will be having a farewell service for our Israel travelers tonight at our regular Shabbat services, 7:30pm.  The Bon Voyage --  with well wishers and Blessings from the Rabbi will be capped off by a splendid Oneg.

Tomorrow night, after the conclusion of Shabbat, the Bus pulls out !! headed to the airport!!  Wow, nerves and anxiety, excitement and enthusiasm are really settling in about now...

Getting our last minute packing done ... making arrangements for while we are away ... getting the pets looked after ... MAKING SURE WE HAVE OUR PASSPORTS !! ... checking out our new Amigo mobile phones ...  trying not to forget anything before we go...  OUR PASSPORTS ... copies of the passports in case they are lost...  called the credit card companies already... checking the weather - Long sleeves / Short Sleeves, Hats, sneaks, Sun Tan lotion (What??)...  one bag or two? a bathing suit? (for the dead sea at least)...  a book to read...  Hold the mail and newspaper... Oh yeah, and for those of us that are synagogue presidents -- making a list of who's in charge at the synagogue while we are away ! ...

I got an email with a list of interesting shops to visit and foods to eat in Jaffa on our first day, from Beth and Yakov Tepper...   Desserts sound good - can't wait to try them...

Wow so much still to do and so little time...
